This course provides students with a hands-on introduction to manual machining processes using engine lathes and knee mills. Emphasis is placed on safe setup, operation, and basic part production, while developing foundational skills in layout, measurement, and machining practices. Students will learn to interpret technical drawings, select appropriate tools, and perform cutting operations such as facing, turning, drilling, milling, and finishing. The course builds the core knowledge and skills needed for precision machining, while preparing students for advanced study and practical applications in manufacturing.
