This exciting course provides the student with the opportunity to research and explore current and rapidly evolving technologies with an eye towards how they affect an organization. Students will discuss the disruptive nature of new technologies on individuals, businesses, and the society at large. Some of these technologies include robotics, encryption, social media, biometrics, SmartHome controllers, remote access, genetic tracing, and Big Data. The student will develop a project plan that implements a new technology into an existing business or organizational model and identify the impacts the new technology will have on the organization.
